Charles Thomas is an investment analyst for Vanguard’s investment strategy group, the team responsible for capital markets research, asset allocation strategies and investment and economic commentary. Thomas conducts and supports research on a variety of topics, including the global economy, fixed income investing, currencies and indexing. Prior to this role, he participated in Vanguard’s leadership development program and in ETF product management. He earned his BA in economics from the University of Virginia. |

Donald Bennyhoff is a senior investment analyst for Vanguard’s investment strategy group. He is a member of the group responsible for capital markets research and the asset allocations used in Vanguard’s fund-of-fund solutions, as well as maintaining and enhancing the investment methodology used for high net worth and institutional clients. Mr Bennyhoff holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, has been in the financial services industry since 1991 and is a CFA charterholder. |

Joost van Beek is senior portfolio manager at Kempen Capital Management (KCM, the asset manager owned by Kempen & Co) and is in charge of the fundamental index property funds. He joined KCM in 2004. He started his career as a sell-side analyst at MeesPierson in 1989, joined HSBC in 1993 and Kempen & Co in 1997. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Tilburg, with a specialisation in business finance and investment theory. |

Loes van der Padt has been a portfolio manager in the property team of Kempen Capital Management since early 2009. She wrote her master’s thesis for KCM on the performance of the fundamental index in the global property market. She holds a master’s degree in international business from Grenoble Graduate School of Business and passed the CFA level I examination in 2011.

Robert Dubois is president of Trend Modus Capital Management LLC, a registered investment advisor. Dubois also researches pure and applied portfolio theory related to systematic risk management and trend-contingent participation across asset classes. Prior to entering the retail space he managed proprietary energy and agricultural commodity-related trading in US and global markets. Dubois has an MS in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University.

Ronald Slivka is an adjunct professor at NYU Polytechnic Institute and a faculty member of the New York Institute of Finance. With over 35 years of practical Wall Street experience, Dr Slivka has held equity derivative sales and management positions at Salomon Brothers, J.P. Morgan and ABN AMRO. He has written over 25 articles and book chapters on a broad range of derivative topics and holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Yikai Zhang has a master’s degree in financial engineering and risk management from NYU Polytechnic Institute. Prior to entering his studies he developed software for Taihua Group and Peking University in Beijing. Yikai Zhang holds a MS in computer science from Peking University and a BS in electronic engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.

Wenwen Zhang has a master’s degree in financial engineering from NYU Polytechnic Institute. She has held internships at UBS Securities Company Limited, China Securities Co., Ltd., Wall Street E Financial Service Inc., China Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Bank of Communications in analysis, research and sales. |
