PART TIME - SENIOR EVENT & PUBLICATIONS PRODUCER

As an event and publications producer, you will be a key member of both the commercial and editorial teams of IndexUniverse.

IndexUniverse’s European operations are based in Hammersmith, London, and the broader company employs 50 people worldwide. The company’s publications, IndexUniverse.com, IndexUniverse.eu, ETFR, the Journal of Indexes and the Journal of Indexes Europe, are regarded as the leading source of news, analysis and comment on the fast-growing index investing market. We also operate the world’s leading index- and ETF-focused conferences.

As producer, you will work closely with our European editor to deliver top-quality European events and publications.

You will assist in the research and production of three high-profile conferences and one high profile event per year.

Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with the co-ordination and production of the Journal of Indexes Europe and two supplements for the publication, as well as undertaking occasional editorial duties.

TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

• You will work with our European editor and US-based conference team to research, plan and deliver European events and conferences (e.g. researching new events, sourcing promotional items, assisting with event logistics)
• You will be responsible for the recruitment of, confirmation of and liaison with all European webinar, event and conference speakers
• You will generate all marketing and promotional documents for European webinars, events and conferences (writing email blasts, helping design print and online ads, etc.).
• You will maintain and grow the company’s list of European speakers by forging strategic partnerships and building relationships with senior management at financial institutions and other opinion-formers.
• You will manage all marketing efforts for publications and supplements (writing email blasts, helping design print and online ads, etc.).
• You will analyse and maximise the marketing efforts to ensure the highest possible attendance/readership/positive feedback from our target audience.
• You will be responsible for the research, planning and production of two new annual supplements for the Journal of Indexes Europe.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• As you will have frequent interaction with event clients and speakers, it’s critical that you have the presence and ability to lead meetings and presentations, as well as assisting in running on-site conference logistics.
• We are looking for an entrepreneurial person who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and deliver. Hitting deadlines is mandatory.
• Knowledge and interest in financial services is required; knowledge and interest specifically in ETFs and indexing is a big plus, along with prior event and publication production experience.
• The right person will be very comfortable conversing with senior executives via email, phone, or face-to-face.
• The successful candidate will have outstanding writing skills.
• Above all, we require a reliable, well-organised and efficient person to fill this vacancy.

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary + bonus

LOCATION AND HOURS: We initially require someone to work 3 days per week. You will work at our office in Hammersmith.
