Index provider STOXX has announced two new senior hires.

Anthony Da Costa joins the firm as chief operating officer and will be based in Zurich. Da Costa previously worked at FTSE as director of service delivery and had earlier roles as head of electronic trading at Newedge and Calyon Financial.

Mark Rodino joins STOXX as global head of sales and will be based in London. Rodino was previously head of ETF sales at HSBC and, before that, worked in institutional equity sales at UBS and Morgan Stanley.

“Anthony’s and Mark’s large experience in the index business and the derivatives space will be a great advantage for STOXX,” said Hartmut Graf, the firm’s chief executive officer. “Both of them will be a valuable asset to our global team, and we are confident that they will contribute to STOXX’s success.”
